Hello! I am Isabella Mirabile, a 4th year pursuing the Industrial Engineering major and Sustainable Cities minor at Georgia Tech. While attending Tech, I have had incredible opportunities to combine both my passions for engineering and sustainability. Two projects I participated in prior to joining the Sustainable Cities Studio was the Happy Healthy Friends Initiative, a volunteer project I led with the purpose of producing an innovative educational lesson plan for elementary school students, and the Alternative Mobility project, where 3 other team members and I analyzed and researched the equitable benefits of the option to pay for electric scooters with cash.
Since completing those projects, I have become more interested in the equity branch of sustainability and how it can be improved through technology and engineering. I hope to enter a career field where I am able to exercise my engineering aspirations for improving the efficiency of systems while addressing specific equity issues within my community.
